Amaravati: A day after the threat held out by the opposition YSRC to let its MPs resign from their posts before the next Parliament session on the special category status (SCS), what was considered as a `deadwood’ by the ruling TDP-BJP combine came alive, rattling the Assembly session on Thursday. The bedlam that let the House slip into a din and disorder forced Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao to adjourn it for a couple of hours. The opposition members sought to move an adjournment motion, facilitating the House to take up discussion exclusively on the special category status by setting aside the whole agenda listed for the day.
Later, the YSRC leaders at the media point alleged that the special category status issue is a clear case which exposes Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s double speak.YSRCP MLAs K Srinivasulu, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Amjad Bhasha, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Ramachandra Reddy, D Tippareddy and others spoke to newsmen at assembly media point on the issue. They accused the government of running away from discussion on the issue in a desperate bid to save its face from embarrassment.
