Speeding Bus Mows Down 2 Young Engineers

Hyderabad Mar 24 : Two young engineers met a gory end near Kukkunuru in Polavaram mandal of West Godavari district on Friday. The engineers - identified as Ladia Tirupati (26) and Penuka Gowtham (24) - are working for an engineering firm entrusted with the task of constructing toilets in a tribal areas under KR Puram ITDA, While they were on their way from Amaravaram to bring labourers for the work, they were hit by a Telangana RTC bus bound for Rajahmundry from Burgampahad. The mishap occurred at the Kammarigudem turning.

While Tirupti died on the spot, Gowtham died while being rushed to the hospital. Tirupati is from Hanmakonda in Warangal and Gowtham is from Mahabubabad in the same district. A case has been registered against the TSRTC bus driver.
