IIFA Utsavam Awards 2017

Hyderabad Mar 30 : The second edition of IIFA Utsavam took off last night in Hyderabad. The first day dedicated to Tamil and Malayalam cinema. Hosting this event were Rana Daggubati, Tini Tom, Shiva and Pearle Maaney.  Dulquer Salmaan, bagged the the Best Actor Award for Charlie, while Madhavan bagged the same award for his role in Irudhi Suttru. Director Atlee won the Best Director Award for Theri, Ritika Singh won the Best Actress award for Irudhi Suttru. The much talked about Vaanamagan trailer starring Jayam Ravi, Sayyesshaa was launched at IIFA Utsavam 2017. The award function was not complete without electrifying performance by various actors. Aklshara Haasan, Amyra Dastur, Jiiva, KunchackoBoban set the stage ablaze with Power packed performances.

Celebrities right from Adah sharma, to Sonal Chauhan, Raai Lakshmi, Esha Gupta, Sayyeshaa Saigal, Hansika Motwani, Sai dharam Tej, Akhil Akkineni graced the green carpet. Raai Lakshmi looked stunning in a emerald coloured gown while HansIka Motwani turned the heat on in a deep purple dress with a thigh high slit. Rakul Preet Singh looked gorgeous while Adah Sharma went all traditional on the occasion of Ugadi.

Tonight celebrities from the Telugu and Kannada industry will grace the award function. The main intention of IIFA Utsavam 2017 was to bring together four industries – Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada and celebrate their contributions. Tonight’s event was to be hosted by Nani, but he turned a father to a baby boy today, so we wonder if he will attend the event?
