Arrest warrant issued against Rakhi Sawant

Hyderabad April 03 : Ludhiana court has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actress and dancer Rakhi Sawant, for allegedly making unacceptable  remarks against sage Valmiki, the writer of mythological Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’.  A complaint has been filed against bold actress for hurting the religious sentiments of Valmiki community as she made some objectionable comments on a program on a private Television channel last year. The actress is popular for her bold statements.

  The complaint said that  Rakhi has hurt the sentiments of large number of Valmiki followers with her act. Following her comments,  the members of  Valmiki community had also protested against her at different locations.As the actress was failed to appear before the court during the hearing held on 9th March despite the court issuing her repeated summons, so the court issued arrest warrant and a two member team of Ludhiana police was sent to Mumbai to arrest  her. The next hearing of this case  will be held on 10th April 2017. More details are awaited.
