A road accident has taken place in Chandragiri zone of Chittoor district in AP. At Aitepalli, a Swift car derailed and hit a divider. The car was completely engulfed in flames due to the accident.
There were eight people in the car at the time of the accident. Five people died on the spot in the accident. A one-year-old child was among the five dead. The injured were rushed to Tirupati Ruia Hospital by the police. Unfortunately, one of the three injured died on the way to the hospital.
The victims are said to be from Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts. The accident happened on the way home from the scene. Police believe the cause of the accident was speeding.
