Army Helicopter with 14 Passengers Crashed in Tamil Nadu

A terrible crash took place in Tamil Nadu (Tamil Nadu). An Army helicopter carrying General Bipin Rawat, the Chief of Defence Staff of India, crashed in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. According to the information received at present, CDS Bipin Rawat's wife Madhulika Rawat has lost her life. His condition seems to be critical.


The Passengers in the helicopter include General Bipin Rawat, Mrs. Madhulika Rawat, Harinder Singh, Guru Sevak Singh, aJitendra Kumar, Vivek Kumar, Sai Teja and Satpath.


The accident took place between Coimbatore and Coonoor. 14 people were on board including Bipin Rawat, his crew and family members. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh explained the situation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


Army, Police and Firefighters rushed to the crash scene and carried out the rescue operations. The Helicopter departed from the Army Center in Willington. Seems like Three of them were rescued and taken to hospital. The Indian Air Force has confirmed the accident. Two people died on  the spot in the incident.
