Shutting down of colleges and universities in the wake of Omicron has led to online classes again in Bengaluru. With this, placement opportunities for students have been lost.

Government promoted the students for the last 2 semesters without exams. There were no physical exams. Companies are not considering the 2 semester results, now online classes have started again which is affecting the students with their placements.

Few companies are asking for 10th and 12th scores. Companies are not interested in hiring students through online interviews which is affecting the students. “Companies are considering only placement test scores and performance in interviews,” said a placement officer at another engineering college.
