Police have cracked down on a gang that is scamming in the name of online betting. Three were arrested and Rs. 1. 27 crores were seized. DSP Sudhakar Reddy along with one urban CI Narasimharaju disclosed the details to the media. Nitish Reddy from Godugumuru, Chittoor, is looking for a higher income. He cheated on Online betting worth Rs. 26.75. The town police have launched an investigation into one of the cases registered with the victim's complaint.
The social media accounts used by the accused were found in about four bank accounts worth about Rs. 1. 27 crores which were seized. The culprits have been identified within a month.
On Thursday, Praveen, a resident of Vasundhara village, Meliaputti zone, Srikakulam district, was arrested at the railway station in Chittoor city, Santosh Kumar of Blue Earth apartment at Mayuri junction, Vijayanagaram district, and Lokesh, a resident of Ambedkar colony in the same district cantonment.
With the help of Twitter and Facebook, Reddy anna and Mahadeva were found to be acting as bookies. The DSP said that they were scouring for them and would catch them soon. DIG Senthilkumar specially congratulated SI Anil Kumar, staff Syed Basha, Ramesh and Kumar who arrested the accused.
