Maruti Suzuki, which has raised rates for its cars in the past, is set to raise prices once again. Car maker Maruti Suzuki has once again raised prices to offset production costs. According to Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), prices of plastics, including aluminum, steel and copper, which are key to vehicle manufacturing, will also go up. It recently revealed that prices have risen by a maximum of 4.3 per cent.

The increase would be between 0.1 per cent and 4.3 per cent depending on the models. Maruti Suzuki said the decision was made due to high operating costs. Maruti has raised prices three times in 2021. The carmaker, which raised prices by a small amount last year, has raised it sharply this time around. Maruti Suzuki has gained a foothold in the Indian market by selling vehicles such as the Alto, Celerio, Wagon R, Swift, Swift Dzire, Eco, Ertiga, Espresso, Breza, Desire, Baleno and Nexa S-Cross.
