After Congress chief Sudhakaran, now wife under Kerala Police scanner

New Delhi/Thiruvananthapuram, June 26 (IANS) After his arrest and immediately being let off on bail, state Congress president and K. Sudhakaran's troubles seem to be mounting as his wife has now come under scanner of the Economic Offence wing of Kerala Police.


Sudhakaran told the media on Monday in Delhi, where he arrived with Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheesan for a meeting with the national leadership of the party.


“My wife is a teacher and the Economic Offences wing of the Kerala Police has served a notice seeking details of her bank accounts. Everything will be given,” said Sudhakaran.


It was on Friday night that the Kerala Police recorded the arrest of Sudhakaran in a cheating case involving the jailed fake antique dealer Monson Mavunkal.  Sudhakaran  was released on bail as directed by the Kerala High Court which had granted him bail, should he get arrested.
