Lucknow, Jan 17 (IANS) Sunil Singh, the former state President of Hindu Yuva Vahini, an outfit floated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2002, will join the Samajwadi Party on Saturday.

Sunil Singh, once considered the blue-eyed boy of Yogi Adityanath, had fallen out of favour when Adityanath became Chief Minister in 2017. He was sent to jail and later booked under the National Security Act when he declared himself the national President of the Hindu Yuva Vahini.

Singh now runs a parallel Yuva Vahini and his joining the Samajwadi Party is bound to pave the way for an ideological clash.
