Vijayawada – Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked all MLAs and MLCs to visit farms every month from October. They are to meet farmers, understand their problems, and explain government efforts to make agriculture profitable. A structured plan will support this initiative.

In the Legislative Assembly, Naidu highlighted government steps to boost irrigation, lower cultivation costs, promote food processing, and address issues in aquaculture. He stressed ensuring Minimum Support Prices (MSP), encouraging organic and diverse farming, and setting up farmer markets.

Naidu, from a farming family, said his policies focus on strengthening agriculture, from building canals and reservoirs to programs like Neeru-Chettu. He also raised concern over overuse of fertilisers and pesticides, noting Andhra Pradesh ranks second in the country.
