AP Lawyers protest in front of Hyderabad High Court

Hyderabad: A section of lawyers in the High Court (HC) at Hyderabad boycotted duties and staged a protest in front of the court premises, demanding extension of the cut off date for HC division. In the wake of notification issued yesterday, it was ruled that a divided HC begin work from January 1st, 2019, at Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Telangana respectively. Lawyers for AP said that they cannot shift at such a short notice as the files and staff have not been separated. Moreover, there are doubts over who should deal with cases concerning both the states.
