MLA Raja Singh was arrested

The police took Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh into custody for protesting demolition of a structure on government land at Amberpet in Hyderabad. The GHMC officials demolished the structure as part of road widening for Metro Rail. Earlier, tense situation prevailed as members of two communities have pelted stones against each in which some persons and police personnel were injured. The BJP MLA resisted when police tried to arrest him. But, the police forcibly took him away to bring law and order situation under control. The police officials are investigating whether the land belongs to the government or not.
