A deadly accident has taken place in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). A bus carrying passengers fell into a ravine, killing 22 people. Eight others were seriously injured. The bus was traveling from the Baloch area of ??Sudhnoti district towards Rawalpindi in Punjab province when the accident took place, police said. The bus suddenly fell into a deep 500 meters ravine from the road on Wednesday due to a technical fault in the bus, police said. Most of the dead were children and women.
A vendor who saw the accident immediately informed a religious leader by phone. The religious leader then announced about the accident in the mosque mic and locals went to the scene on a large scale and took relief measures. The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, police said. Road accidents occur frequently as POK is a mountainous area with dangerous roads.
