Police stormed a rally on Friday in protest for arresting BJP state president Bandi Sanjay. Police have arrested Sanjay Kumar on Sunday night, when he was on his “jagran” protest against GO 317 on the transfer of State government employees. Police said BJP leaders had told them to hold a silent rally from the Gandhi statue in Secunderabad to Raniganj in the name of 'protection of democracy'

Police said that they were reminded rallies were not allowed till the 10th of this month as per government norms. Rally in the evening would cause traffic jams and as there were many hospitals in the premises of Secunderabad, patients and ambulances would get in trouble. The police said that BJP informed about the rally but didn't inform the strength of it.

14 day Rallies
The party decided to hold protests for 14 days in the wake of the arrest of Bandi Sanjay. The party leaders suggested that protests with black badges be held in district and zonal centers from today.

BJP state general secretary Premender Reddy said that along with the state leaders, the national leader would take part in the protests for 14 days. 317 GO said the party was condemning the illegal filing of cases against Bandi Sanjay, who was fighting over farmer issues, such as the amendment and unemployment.
