New Delhi, May 17: The Cabinet today approved the expulsion of ministers, parliament members and government employees to accelerate the accommodation provided by the government. Most people at official facilities are requested for help in courts, Coal and Power Minister Piyush Goyal told reporters here.

The Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to amend public prems (unauthorized aggression law).
Goyal said such people, including "ministers, MPs and government officers", usually take the benefit of law to make possible their stay after they no longer hold official positions. The proposed amendments are aimed at speeding their dismissal and they have penalties for overstay.
